Senior Pastor- Peter J. Yoon
Peter J. Yoon began his ministry as a youth pastor in San Diego back in Fall of 1993. Since then, he’s received his M. Div from Talbot Theological Seminary (May, 1996), became married to a beautiful wife, Jessica Yoon (Oct. 1999) and has been blessed with two wonderful children, Nathan (Nov. 2007) and Jason (Aug. 2010). Before coming to Kairos, he served as an Associate Pastor at Church of Southland in Anaheim where he helped start and oversee the Children’s Ministry, College Ministries, Single Young Adults Ministry, and Missions Committee.
While serving in various roles, he developed a passion for small group ministries as he helped start small groups for young adult singles and pastored small group leaders. He now brings his family and his experiences back to beautiful San Diego where God’s love for His local church continues to ignite Pastor Peter’s heart to lead and pastor Kairos Church. Young Adult Pastor- Walter Ko
Walter Ko graduated from UCSD with a B.A. in Sociology, and Bethel Seminary San Diego with a Masters in Applied Ministries, with an emphasis in Pastoral Care. He has been blessed with a wonderful and beautiful family in his wife Karie, his son Exodus, and daughter Psalm. Walter has been ministering since 1997 and has experience in elementary, youth group, young adult, gospel radio, and small group ministries.
He has a passion to share the Gospel of Jesus of Christ where ever he is at, and pursue a life of loving God and loving people, while encouraging others to do the same. He enjoys being a child of God, spending time with family and friends, listening to music, sports, facebooking, and eating.
College Pastor- Jason Sato
A San Diego native, Pastor Jason Sato graduated with a B.S. in Bioengineering from UCSD. During a mission trip in 2007, he received his call to the ministry and joined the staff of Kairos. Pastor Jason recently graduated from SDSU with a Master’s in Social Work and is currently pursuing a Master’s of Divinity at Westminister Seminary of California. He hopes to utilize his education and experiences to further the gospel in Asia and is passionate about Christ’s glory being known in every nation. Pastor Jason loves books, traveling, basketball, and meat.
College Pastor- Daku Kang
Daku Kang has three passions in life, college students, missions, and golf. These passions developed while studying at the best university in the world, UC Davis. After graduating with a BA in Psychology, he pursued his passion for missions at Biola University where he earned a MA in Intercultural Studies. Daku has many years of experience in ministering to college students and believes that these years in college are the most formitive years in a person’s faith. He hopes to make disciples that will in return disciple others. Daku ultimately hopes to be sent out overseas to be a part of God’s global redemptive work. He enjoys playing sports, reading, hanging out, and sappy romantic movies that make you cry.
