Peter J. Yoon

Peter J. Yoon simply loves to pastor God’s people. After receiving an M. Div from Talbot Theological Seminary in La Mirada, CA (May, 1996), he met and married his beautiful wife, Jessica, at Grace Korean Church in Fullerton, CA in 1999. He also loves fathering his 3 spirited children: Nathan, Jason, and Abigail. Prior to joining Kairos Church, he served as an associate pastor at an Asian-American church plant, Church of Southland, in Anaheim (2001-2011) where God used variety of gifts and skills to start and oversee the Children’s Ministry, College Ministry, Young Adult Ministry, Cellgroup Ministry, and Missions Committee.

By nature, Pastor Peter strives to be a dependable person. He goes out of the way to treat every person with the same amount of respect, care, concern, and hospitality. Generally, he is an easygoing and congenial person. Everyone he meets, he senses there is something good that God is doing in that person. His open approach to people leads naturally to a friendly relationship. He strives to create a sense of belonging and acceptance towards others and that usually leads towards team-based ministries under his leadership.

Pastor Peter has been influenced by his mentors, theological education, and sovereign foundations from the past. That has led to his pursuit of building up Kairos Church as a Gospel-centric church that is Word-centered, Spirit-filled, Missions-driven, and Community-based.

Aside from church, Charles loves sports and dances on a dance company named, Choreo Cookies, where he plans to use the skills he learns to assist in reaching out to people with a similar lifestyle in college. Charles plans to pursue an education as far as circumstances will allow to prepare him for a full-time career in service and ministry.

Rebecca Wong

Rebecca Wong is a graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University with a degree in Media Communications. She grew up at a small Chinese church in Monterey Park, where half of the congregation was her family. She experienced spiritual growth alongside her church as it transitioned under new pastorship and both were challenged to expand their worldviews beyond their comfort bubbles. This growth continued through the next several years when she moved to San Diego and began serving at Kairos. She is currently serving as the Children’s Ministry Director while working as a freelance videographer with a special passion to partner with nonprofit organizations. In her free time, she enjoys sewing, knitting, and crocheting pillows, stuffed toys, and small wearables.

Zebadiah Lee

Zeb and his wife, Alice are two of the founding members of Kairos Christian Church. He met his beautiful and amazing wife their freshman year at UCSD and were married in 2006. They have 2 children — Mikaela, their compassionate and bright daughter, and Judah, their exuberant and fun-loving son. Zeb works as a Project Engineer at a local turbomachinery company. At Kairos he serves as the leader of the Inreach Ministry, provides missions administrative support, and desires to see the local church be a redemptive force that helps bring forth God’s kingdom in its community in a real and tangible way. In his spare time he enjoys keeping up with the latest productivity app tips and tech news, listening to podcasts, reading ebooks, watching & critiquing movies, and trying out & documenting new (and sometimes bizarre) food adventures with his wife.

Vince Bantigue

Vincent has been a member of Kairos since it’s early days in 2008. He met his beautiful wife, Jessica when they ended up being small group co-leaders together. Vince married Jess in 2011 and they now have two very active boys, Malachi and Joshua. Vince is an easy-going guy who loves coffee, hates traffic and enjoys spending time with his family. As a big believer in using the talents that God has given him to cultivate the world we live in, when  he’s not working at his full-time job for a local manufacturing company, he’s either busy running his portrait photography business or trying to find creative ways to serve at Kairos.

Victor Chi

Victor is a California boy at heart. Born and raised in San Francisco, he headed to sun kissed Southern California for college and stuck around ever since. Victor and Agnes, his wife, now call San Diego home. They joined Kairos Church in 2013 after coming from the Church of Southland in Anaheim, CA. A product of the University of California system, Victor graduated with his PhD from UC Irvine, and now spends his time in the lab analyzing potential new therapeutics for a non-profit organization. Agnes helps to run the day-to-day operations of the Law Offices of Jane Oak. Outside of work, they can typically be found outdoors, camping, hiking, or searching for another great place for food. Adventurers at heart, Victor and Agnes love to travel and immerse themselves into the culture of the area. An avid sports fan, Victor can usually be found cheering way too loudly for his favorite California college and pro sports teams.
