Spiritual Direction helps individuals recognize how God is moving, speaking, and working in their lives.
Pastoral Care offers spiritual guidance and support through specific circumstances or seasons of life.
What’s the difference between spiritual direction and pastoral care?
Spiritual Direction is typically focused on an individual deepening his/her relationship with God. The spiritual director helps guide people to see how and where God might be working in your life.
Pastoral Care is more generally focused on shepherding an individual who may need spiritual guidance.
Some example are:
Someone going through a specific trial.
Someone having relational conflicts.
Someone going through a season of grief.
Someone who simply needs some guidance in their life.
Anyone seeking guidance, discernment, or encouragement in their walk with God—willing to share with honesty and openness.
You’ll meet with a member of the pastoral staff for a one-on-one session. Most sessions are one-time, though follow-up meetings (up to 3 total) can be arranged as needed.
